It is a concept coined by Joseph Nye of Harvard University to describe the ability to attract and engage without coercion or the use of force as a means of persuasion. More recently, the term has been used to influence and change social and public opinion through relatively less transparent channels and pressure through political and non-political organizations. As Joseph Nye said that with soft power, “the best propaganda is not propaganda,” explaining that in the information age.
